The O.U.R. Aftercare Team coordinates with the O.U.R. Operations Team to ensure that vetted aftercare services are in place prior to operations. We utilize best practices, trauma-informed care, and provide person-centered services for survivors of human trafficking and exploitation.

There is no rescue without aftercare.

Through collaborative efforts with other organizations, many of the survivors we work with are provided with the opportunity and resources they need to move forward. We strive to support survivors in their dreams for themselves and their dreams for their children. O.U.R. Aftercare focuses on meeting each survivor where they are on their healing journey, whatever their circumstance.

The members of the O.U.R. Aftercare Team have a wide variety of strong backgrounds, and they also seek to understand standards of the country provided by local social workers. O.U.R. has found the most effective aftercare model is empowering, supporting, and collaborating with in-country aftercare organizations.

THE O.U.R. WORLDWIDE SURVIVOR ADVISORY BOARD

The current O.U.R. Worldwide Survivor Advisory Board is made up of survivors of human trafficking and exploitation from Nepal, Colombia, Uganda, and the United States. This board helps review curricula and publications, as well as the creation of new aftercare initiatives.

All members bring vital expertise, talents, insights, inspiration, and a wonderful heart to the anti-trafficking efforts.

O.U.R. Aftercare held a community engagement opportunity in southern Utah for a survivor, "Angela", who has been taking equine therapy thanks to our collaboration with Metropolitan Equestrian Team.

We are privileged to work with an incredible and inspiring teenage girl who is a fighter. Angela has fought for her freedom and joy. She is brave in so many ways! She loves horses and we loved seeing her confidence increase while riding.

The Phoenix Dream Center is one of the nation’s largest human trafficking program for young adults, located in the heart of Phoenix.The Phoenix Dream Center is a non-profit committed to providing community outreach programs while healing the homeless, incarcerated, addicted, and most predominantly survivors of human trafficking.
